Ready to begin your leadership journey? Students and Adult Mentors Apply Here:
Welcome to the Covenant Fellowship Youth Leadership Academy!
The Leadership Academy empowers you to be a disciple of Jesus who makes disciples of Jesus.
Our aim is to nurture growth in Knowledge, Skill, and Character. This program is eligible for CFBC students starting the summer before their 8th grade school year.
Youth Leadership Academy Pathway:
Step 1
Complete the Registration form and ask an adult to be your mentor (we will help you find a mentor if you do not know who to ask).
Step 2
Check in with your mentor every week or two, and meet with your mentor each month to choose your next challenge and plan your strategy for showing competency. When you are ready, your mentor or another adult leader will meet with you to affirm that you show competency in your challenge.
Step 3
Grow in confidence, competence, and character as you serve as a disciple-making follower of Jesus. Use your gifts as you serve your church, your community, and the world.
Students may register for the Youth Leadership Academy going into the summer of their 8th grade year. Once enrolled, students must have a personal mentor who will help guide them through the process over multiple years as they grow in knowledge, skill, and evidence of character through service.
This Academy is not a classroom but rather a pathway to growth over several years. It is a roadmap to discipleship that allows students to face challenges based on their interests, time, and personality. As time progresses, new challenges will be added for completion.
"To cultivate a generation of leaders equipped with biblical knowledge, practical skills, and strong character to make a positive impact in their communities."
Knowledge: A strong foundation of Biblical and Theological Principles
Skill: Spiritual and Practical development to equip servant-leaders in the church and community
Character: Christ-like values demonstrated through a wide array of hands-on service experiences.
5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ
